How does an unconference work?
An unconference will look and feel different to most events you have been to before, but everyone there will have one thing in common - a commitment to getting shit done.
Together we’ll set the agenda on the first night, and work our way through an inspiring weekend of connections, conversations, and shared learning. Read more here.
Who is it for?
It's for you! This event will bring together a group of 100+ diverse women from all walks of life to ensure strong connections are made during the weekend. It'll be an action-packed weekend, but we try to leave enough time to explore a range of topics and gain traction on areas of shared interests.
Meet the Wellington-based team helping make this event happen here.
We're heading back to Tatum Park, just outside of Levin.
To keep costs affordable, the majority of the accommodation will be shared. There are limited single rooms available by special request, with a priority for those who require single rooms for medical conditions.
We encourage everyone to stay on-site during the conference because often it's the tea breaks and time between formal sessions where connections are made and strengthened. There is no discount for staying off-site as the cost for the venue remains the same.
We will have free on-site childcare for the entire weekend at no extra cost, so don't let having to find childcare put you off - we'll provide accommodation, meals, and trained minders to keep your kids engaged and having fun. Read more about childcare here.
Tickets will be $375 per person. This covers accommodation, venue hire, all meals, and administration costs. We will make scholarships (ticket and travel) available to at least 20% of our attendees, so please do not let the cost put you off.
On this note, we are on the hunt for more awesome businesses to fund scholarships. If you’re interested or know of someone who might be, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How to apply?
Because we have limited spaces, and diversity and inclusiveness matter to us, we run a registration and selection process.
We’re 1000% sure you are an inspiring and generally kick-ass person, but sadly we can only accommodate 100 attendees, so If you aren’t selected, please know it is no reflection whatsoever on your awesomeness. Rather, it’s our effort to represent the diversity of Aotearoa as best we can. There are a number of events around the country so do keep an eye out and keep applying!
